A pinpoint directs the reader to a particular passage. Use the numbering in the source you actually consulted.
Page pinpoints
For an older report without numbered paragraphs, add the page after the citation. For example, to refer to page 580:
Donoghue v Stevenson [1932] AC 562 (HL) 580.
Paragraph pinpoints
Where the judgment has numbered paragraphs, put the paragraph number in square brackets, such as [10]. This is a formatting illustration, not a recommendation to cite a particular passage.
